For over 50 years Norway Needles has been providing customers with distinctive, customized handmade creations made from the distinctive yarn of Norway, Peer Gynt yarn.
The factory in began milling in Sandnes, Norway, in 1888 and is still making their famous Peer Gynt Yarn today.
Judith Ungar is the creative force behind beautiful hand-knits from Peer Gynt yarn. She is an esteemed, award-winning knitter with over 50 years of expertise in knitting Norwegian garments. Judith was inspired to create Norway Needles when she had the opportunity to live and study knitting in Norway. After she returned home, her enthusiasm continued and she began to educate others that shared her passion for this style.
Most of her time is spent knitting her custom-sized and/or designed Peer Gynt sweaters, but she is often asked to teach classes. Her classes have been given in several states in the USA.
